Your lock out experience.

  At a glance your thoughts may be, whats with this caption? Yea .So many things have wrong in this country and people are keeping quiet about it. Only a few who know their rights are able to put up a " fight" when it comes to certain things. I got talking with one of my colleagues recently and we talked about several things going wrong in this country . One of the things we spoke about was this issue of people having their compounds locked up by  some of these so called "authorities" owing to an action or inaction especially without sufficient information as to what the occupiers of those premises did or failed to do.
He took me through the story of how he returned home from work , only to find his dear children locked out of their compound.
This time it was the waste Management authority. the reason they gave the children was that the occupiers had failed to pay their waste disposal bill.

Hmm.I mean, by locking out those children they had put the lives of those children at risk.
My colleague got angry for seeing his children outside the compound unattended to. He broke open the gate to let himself and the children in.

 Very early the next day, he sighted a man loitering about the premises. According to him, the look on the man's face was that of surprise and confusion because the wasn't sure whether that was the same compound he had locked the previous day.
Guessing what was going through the man's mind, my colleague accosted hm and asked him in a harsh tone , if he was looking for something / someone. The stuttered that he was trying to locate the compound he locked the previous afternoon. On hearing that, my colleague grabbed the man's shirt and started shouting on him and inquired from him who authorized him to carry out such an action. The man became afraid and apologized. Of course he knew my colleague wasn't joking at all. He tried running away but my colleague insisted that he produced an order or any instrument from a higher authority instructing him to lock up the compound. He further threatened that he will get him arrested for trespass.
Anyways, to cut my long story short, the man had no instrument authorizing him ; he was a mere trespasser.

I know some of you may have had such an experience or know someone who had. Always insist that anyone coming to lock up your premisses has an order or an authorization.  In the absence of that, call the police on him. do not be intimidated.
